Asterix, Obelix, and Dogmatix have arrived at Pixel Corner!

Some collaborations seem almost obvious once they exist. This is clearly one of them.

After a few months of work in our studio, we are very happy to finally be able to present our new collection under official ASTÉRIX® license: three Pixel Art Kits dedicated to Asterix, Obelix, and Dogmatix.

Three Gauls that everyone knows (and not just in France), revisited in our own way: with little glass tiles, a bit of patience… and a lot of magic potion!

🇫🇷 When comics meet Pixel Art

Adapting Asterix into Pixel Art was an incredibly fun exercise. The universe created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo possesses silhouettes, colors, and details that are immediately recognizable. The challenge was therefore to preserve everything that makes the characters' identity, with a very Pixel Corner constraint: as minimalist as possible while remaining recognizable.

A few well-placed pixels are ultimately enough to spot Asterix's winged helmet, Obelix's famous trousers, or even Dogmatix's little blue nose.

The result is three models to assemble yourself in real glass mosaic, then hang on the wall as a piece of decor.

🛡️ Asterix – Small but indomitable

It’s impossible to start this collection without our little national hero.

For this pixelated version of Asterix, we find the details that make our Gaul immediately recognizable: his winged helmet, his blonde mustache, his black tunic, and of course his red trousers.

It is a fairly detailed model, with a difficulty of ★★★★☆ and about 1 hour of assembly. It comes in two sizes: 29 × 48 cm with 2.3 cm Classic tiles and 16 × 25 cm with 1.2 cm mini tiles.

🪨 Obelix – The heavyweight of the collection

For Obelix, naturally, we had to think a bit bigger.

With its 42 × 58 cm in Classic format, it is the largest and most ambitious model of the three. The tiles gradually reveal his ginger braids, his green belt, and his unmistakable blue and white trousers.

Allow for about 2 hours of assembly and a difficulty of ★★★★★. Once finished, it becomes a real standout piece on a wall — with or without a menhir nearby.

💡 Our decor tip: pairing Obelix in the Classic format with Dogmatix in the Mini format allows you to play with the characters' proportions and create a particularly nice duo on the same wall.

🐾 Dogmatix – A few pixels and plenty of character

The smallest of the trio obviously had a place in the collection.

White, black, gray… and just the right amount of blue on the nose: Dogmatix lends himself particularly well to Pixel Art. His limited number of tiles also makes him the most accessible model of the three, with a difficulty of ★★★☆☆ and about 1 hour of assembly.

He measures 28 × 35 cm in Classic and 15 × 18 cm in Mini. Alone on a wall, in a display frame, or accompanied by his two favorite Gauls, he works just about anywhere.
