What is the MV Louise Michel? 🚢
It's a former French surveillance vessel transformed into a rescue boat. Painted a flashy, unmissable pink, it sails in the Mediterranean to rescue migrants and refugees in distress.
The project was launched in 2020, funded by Banksy (yes, the street artist). The crew is made up of activists, rescuers, sailors — in short, people who have decided that saving lives should not be a crime.
"Their mission: to save, unconditionally. Because helping is not a crime."
The boat has become a global symbol of solidarity and resistance. And that's exactly why we wanted to pay tribute to it with a pixel art kit.
